Why haven't I heard of TeleMonitoring before?

The Texas legislature passed Senate Bill No. 293 in 2013 establishing the telemonitoring pilot program which was set to expire on September 1, 2015. Because very few physicians participated in the telemonitoring program, the Texas legislature approved an extension through September 1, 2019. Medicaid is not responsible for marketing this program, which allowed AllHeal Telemonitoring to fill the void and become the states largest telemonitoring provider.

Does this require me to sell anything to my patients?

No, you do not need to sell anything to your patients. Telemonitoring is an added service that the state of Texas is encouraging Medicare/Medicaid patients and health care providers to take advantage of. This service comes at no cost to patients and although Texas Medicaid finds this service to be a benefit, patients can choose to stop services at anytime.

Does TeleMonitoring add any liability to the healthcare provider?

Through Texas State Legislation there is no added liability to health care providers for utilizing telemonitoring services. It is important to be aware that AllHeal Telemonitoring is not an emergency medical service. Our service is simply to store and transmit data, it is the health care providers responsibility to monitor the data to improve patient care.

What is my investment as the healthcare provider?

There is no investment or service fees to utilize AllHeal Telemonitoring Services. At Allheal we take great care in ensuring that our telemontiroing services are as easy as possible for our health care providers.  We do our best to make the process simple and streamlined for your office so that you can take full advantage of your Medicare/Medicaid reimbursements.
